This easy Nepal trekking holiday, in the foothills of Mount Everest, begins with the short flight to Lukla, gateway to the Khumbu. Here, accompanied by our cheerful Sherpa team, we start our trek into a region of high valleys and remote settlements, overshadowed by some of the world's greatest peak. During 8 days of trekking, we can experience the unrivalled mountain scenery of the Khumbu, including the classic view of Mount Everest and Ama Dablam from Thyangboche Monastery. Visiting a succession of Sherpa villages, including the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar, the popular myth of 'Shangri La' will seem all-too-real. On our return to Kathmandu, we have a free daya and a city tour, with the option of taking an early morning 'Everest Flight' for a dramatic finale. Suitable for any weekend hillwalker, this short trek offers an excellent introduction to the delights of trekking in the Himalayas, including those all-important views of Mount Everest.
Meet our representative at the airport who will transfer you to the Hotel. Hotel checking-in and go for sightseeing tour. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Morning – breakfast in the hotel. After that leave for the full day UNISCO HERITAGE sightseeing tour, visit Swyambhunath Temple, Patan Durbar Square and Bungmati Village. Overnight in Kathmandu.
We will take a superb flight from Kathmandu to reach Lukla (2827m). After the 40 minutes flight, we will land in a landing strip and our porter will help us hold our luggage. After that we will march down to the Dudhkoshi River, where we hook up with the major pathway to Namche Bazaar. After walking all the way passing the small area of Ghat (2550m), we will arrive at Phakding taking 4 hours. Overnight at Tea House in Phakding
Today, we will hike to Namche Bazaar from Phakding taking around 5 hours. We will hike across the river all the way via the blue pine and rhododendron forest. Then, we go crosswise to the Dudh Koshi at Benkar and enjoy the sights of snowy mountains Kusum Kanguru (6369m), Thamserku (6623m) etc. The path then becomes rather difficult including an upright climb to Namche Bazaar. After crossing a suspension bridge we will climb to Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Tea House.
Today we will have a rest day and visit around Namche Bazaar for proper adaptation with the setting at the height. Namche is a well-off village located in a large secluded hollow. And the astonishing scene from here is landscape of the Khumbu peaks including the views of the highest peak of the world, Everest as well as Ama Dablam (6856m), Thamserku (6608m) etc. Overnight at Tea House.
We will today trek down to Phungithanka, a small village with some teahouses. The track heads downhill all the way via the forested path and traverses the suspension bridge over the Dudhkoshi River to reach Sanasa. From here we split the way to Namche and with a short walk we will reach to secret valley called Khumjung village, one of the major villages of the region. Here we will visit Monastery of Khumjung and explore the surroundings Sherpa village too. Overnight at guest house.
On this day we will walk ahead from Khumjung Village and trek to reach Tengboche taking around 4 hours. Also, on the way we will visit Tengboche Monasteries lying at an elevation of 3860m. Overnight at guest house.
Today we trek ahead from Tengboche to arrive at Monjo taking pleasure from the easy way down. It is fairly long walks. After walking all the way through Namche Bazaar, on the way we will arrive at Monjo. Overnight at tea house.
On this day, we will leave Monjo and trek further to reach Lukla that is located at the height of 2840mtaking around 5 hours. This is the last day of our trek. Here we can celebrate before departing for Kathmandu the next day. Overnight at tea House.
Today early in the morning, we will get ready for the access to our plane to return back to Kathmandu. Then, we will be transferred back to our hotel. Remaining day, we can explore around Kathmandu or do some shopping. Overnight in hotel.
Today you will be free for your own activities like shopping. Afternoon we will drop you at the Kathmandu Airport end of the package.
